FiNLean™ Delivery Model

Banking-grade delivery, evidenced. Not promised.

Every IT partner promises quality.

None of it is verifiable at signature. Speed, quality, compliance alignment – every proposal contains them. None of it can be tested until you have signed and six months have passed. That is why methodology sections carry so little weight in bank procurement, and rightly so.

FiNLean™ is built the other way round. Everything it claims is something we can put on your table before you commit.

What is FiNLean™?

FiNLean™ is FiNASAL’s delivery model for banks, microfinance institutions and regulated financial services. It has two parts.

A hybrid delivery structure

Focused onsite engagement for governance and stakeholder alignment, with offshore Centres of Excellence carrying engineering execution. This is what keeps enterprise-grade delivery inside a realistic budget, including for institutions that have been priced out of tier-one consultancies.

Three documents you can read before you sign

A scenario library, a risk tiering matrix and a release evidence pack. Every programme produces documents like these eventually, usually written up at the end by whoever has time. Ours exist before the engagement starts, and your risk and compliance functions can read them before you commit to anything.

We work inside your controls, not around them

Most delivery models assume the vendor owns the pipeline. In a bank that is rarely true and never desirable. Your DevOps standards, your environments, your change advisory board, your regulator, your accountability.

FiNLean™ is designed to plug into that rather than replace it. What we bring is discipline that survives inside your controls, and documentation your compliance team does not have to translate.

The five practices

01

Scenario-first requirements

Every requirement is written as a testable scenario in business language and signed by business, compliance, and engineering before build begins. Ambiguity in a requirement is the cheapest defect to fix and the most expensive one to discover in production.

What you get Our banking scenario library — credit limit enforcement, KYC and onboarding, disbursement approval, transaction thresholds, exception handling — as your starting point instead of a blank page.
02

Risk tiering agreed in week one

Together we classify every flow. Tier 1 is revenue-generating or compliance-gating: disbursement, AML screening, payments. Tier 2 is operational. Tier 3 is enhancement. Test depth and regression coverage follow the tier. You set the tiers; we hold to them for the life of the programme.

What you get A signed tiering matrix before the first sprint, so later scope debates have an agreed reference point.
03

Evidence produced as we go, not reconstructed at audit

Every release ships with an evidence pack: requirement-to-test traceability, test execution results, defect disposition, UAT sign-off, and cutover record. For Saudi clients, we map these to SAMA Cybersecurity Framework control references, so your compliance team is not re-writing our documentation into their own format.

What you get A redacted sample evidence pack on request, before you engage anyone.
04

Quality checks positioned wherever you allow them

Where you grant pipeline access, we automate inside it: unit tests written with the feature, static analysis on commit, regression suites on Tier 1 flows before every release. Where you do not, we run the same checks in our environment and hand you the results with the build. The discipline does not depend on the access level you are comfortable granting.

05

Accelerators, not blank projects

Pre-built Dynamics 365 configurations, data migration templates, and integration patterns drawn from a decade of financial services work. This is the real mechanism behind shorter timelines. Not heroics, and not longer hours. Reuse.

Prove it in two weeks

Rather than debate methodology, run it. We will take one real requirement area from your backlog and deliver a two-week proof sprint.

  • A signed scenario set for that area
  • An agreed risk tiering matrix
  • A working increment in your environment
  • The evidence pack that would accompany it in production

If it does not convince your team, you have spent two weeks and come away with a clearer picture of your own requirements than you had before.

See how we work before you commit to anything.

We will walk your team through the scenario library, the tiering matrix and a redacted evidence pack. No engagement required to see them.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is FiNASAL’s delivery model for regulated financial institutions: a hybrid onshore-offshore structure combined with three working documents — a scenario library, a risk tiering matrix and a release evidence pack — that your risk and audit functions can read before you sign.

Offshore delivery is a cost structure. FiNLean™ is what makes that cost structure acceptable to a regulator. The scenario library, tiering matrix and evidence pack are the difference, and we will show you all three before you sign anything.

No. We work inside your controls at whatever access level your security policy permits, and we produce the same evidence either way. Vendors who want to own your pipeline have usually not delivered inside a regulated bank.

Under SAMA’s outsourcing framework, accountability for the outsourced activity remains with the institution. That means your risk function has to evidence oversight of our work to the regulator. The FiNLean™ evidence pack is built to be that evidence, mapped to Cybersecurity Framework control references rather than left as generic project documentation.

Yes, and that is deliberate. The offshore execution component and the accelerator library bring enterprise-grade delivery within reach of institutions with constrained IT budgets. The modular sprint structure lets you start with a core scope and extend as budget allows.

Contact us for scoping. It is a fixed-scope, fixed-price engagement with defined deliverables, and the outputs are yours regardless of whether you proceed.
